Business Plan

A business plan grounded in real financials and achievable projections — not a template filled in by a chatbot.

CRE Resources, LLC  ·  Licensed NJ & PA  ·  IBBA & ICSC Member
Who this is for Owners raising capital, applying for SBA financing, buying a business, or formalizing a growth strategy.

Why pay for this when AI writes business plans for free

Fair question, and worth answering directly.

AI generates business-plan prose very well. It cannot tell you whether a 22% growth assumption is defensible for a quick-service restaurant in your trade area, and it will not stand behind the projection when an SBA underwriter questions it. The document is not the product. The judgment inside it is.

If what you need is a formatted plan for internal use, the free tools are genuinely adequate and you should use them. If the plan is going to a lender, a seller, an investor, or a franchisor — someone whose job is to find the weak assumption — then it needs to be built by someone who has watched those readers reject plans.

What makes a plan survive underwriting

Projections tied to something. Every revenue line traces to a stated driver — seats, transactions, square footage, contracts — with the assumption written down where the reader can test it. Underwriters do not reject optimism; they reject unexplained optimism.

Real market data. Trade-area demographics, competitive density, and traffic patterns from actual sources, not adjectives.

An honest risk section. Plans that claim no material risks get read more skeptically, not less.

For acquisition financing

If the plan supports an SBA 7(a) acquisition, it is built around the target's historical financials rather than a hypothetical, and includes the debt service coverage analysis the lender will run anyway. Say so at intake and the structure changes accordingly.
